ISLAM has always been underestimated. An American Professor imagined the World without Muslims and found out the most surprising results! Ian Bremmer, a political scientist and a University professor, highlighted an important point that overall, Muslims account for just 0.00625%. Moreover, he actually imagined a world without Muslims and the post went viral in no time as the result is actually the opposite. Muslims are the reasons why the World became modern.

It was Muslims who contributed much to mathematics like Algebra and Trigonometry, which was imported over to Europe 300 years later to Fibonnaci and the rest.

It was Muslims who discovered that the Earth was round 500 years before Galileo did. The list goes on and on.

Muslims are the Reason Why the World Became Modern. Had there be no Muslims, imagine how our lives would be today? Perhaps we would still be in the dark ages?

PLANET EARTH is the only planet that we know of that we can live on. Sad to say that our civilisation has progressed quite tremendously on the back of technological advancement that is supposed to solve the world's problems but fail to protect the Earth. Why? Well, everything that we produce has grave consequences to the planet. We have not yet found an alternative planet and hence, why are we still playing ignorants to the extent of being arrogants?

IN 1997, I didn't even need a hand phone when working. In 2007, hand phone was a necessity for work. In 2017, hand phones became a pain in the neck when people whatsapp rubbish 24 hours a day.

In 1997, I was renting VHS tapes to watch the Godfather Trilogy. In 2007, I bought the Special Edition DVD Combo of the Godfather Trilogy for my Dad's birthday. In 2017, the damn Netflix don't even have it online. I had to go surf it on some pirate sites.

In 1997, doctors told me not to eat fats. In 2007, those same doctors told me, go for the fats but don't eat carbo. In 2017, those same dudes in white went OCD and said, "the chickens have injected hormones, the fish from the ocean has too much mercury, the veggies got too much pesticides, the cow... well they go mad, the mineral water accumulates stones in your bladder... and of course, the margarine has the same construct as plastic."

In 1997, they told everyone to study IT. It seems that at that time, IT is the way forward. In 2007, they realised that we are severely short of doctors. In 2017, everyone listens to Jack Ma when he said, "screw all that as robots will be doing most of the work. You are better of studying arts."

To Socialise or Not to Socialise

SOCIAL engagements have always been the retreat from hectic lives. In the old days of the British Isle, men would wind down at a pub after a long hard working week (or day). The word "pub" was derived from the word "public" for which the pub was meant to be, a place for public. A place to interact with other human beings not on business matters but on casual social matters.

The word "socialise" has taken many forms of manifestation in different cultures as well as in different era. In the early Roman Empire, bathing is a public agenda. People do not have bath alone. They have bath with many friends in a public bath pool and casual chats happen. In Japan, the same thing happens in a sauna room. In Malaya, a joget session would suffice for the same reason.

Fast forward to the modern age of internet and electronics, socialisation has emerged in its most diabolical form ever; the social media. Whilst the kids of the 70's, 80's and 90's (Generation X and Y) embraced physical forms of social activities such as cycling, football, "Polices and Thieves", "Galah Panjang", "Gasing" and playing marbles; their counterparts since the turn of the millennium have been and are still being possessed by virtual tools such as facebook, instagram, twitter and video games.

Why is it diabolical? Firstly, the modern social media takes away the direct human interaction and forces the users to voluntarily rely on electronic devices. Secondly, it forces us to voluntarily abandon the avenue to burn the excess sugar we have in our bodies that could have been burnt otherwise. Thirdly, it forces us to voluntarily make irrational conclusions about news we receive everyday without proper regard to authenticity, integrity and reliability. In the end, we will all (if not yet) be non-independent, fat and gullible society. In short, zombies.

Just one glance at everyone in the train is enough to portray a fantastic snap shot of zombies whose heads are 45 degrees downward looking. A family dinner has ceased to be the forum for fathers to check on their kids' school life because both parents and kids have the same 45 degrees head syndrome. Soon the parliament will also start showing the 45 degrees rows of heads. Worse, you might even see the same happening to the drivers in the cars surrounding you in the traffic jam.

What have become of us? Do we now embrace this new form of socialsation or not? That is the question. You would probably have noticed that the earlier paragraph on why it is diabolical has two contradicting words in a sentence - i.e. "force" and "voluntarily". We are inevitably forced to undergo the unhealthy lifestyle when we have voluntarily chosen to adopt the lifestyle itself. Which means, we are not doomed yet. We can still "volunteer" ourselves not to be dependent on social media, not to foresake physical forms of social engagements and not to be gullible to conclude everything we see or read on the social media.

Imagine the benefits that we can earn by being moderate when using social media. Time will not be wasted. Telephone and internet bills will show lower costs. More fat can be burnt. We will not spread lies nor react unnecessarily to irresponsible propagandas. We will talk face to face with friends amd families like what human beings are supposed to do. Fathers can catch up with their sons and daughters regularly. More work is done in the office. Less insomnia. Husbands and wives cherish each other when those supposedly romantic nights are not invaded by late night facebook postings. The list can be very long indeed.

So, are we to socialise or not to socialise? With the sixty million mobile devices currently in use in Malaysia, even at the young age of two years old, it is almost impossible to socially reject social media; just like if we are to reject televisions or radios. Malaysians have been ranked as one of the top users of social media globally (relative to the country's population) and statistics show tremendous potential growth in digital behaviours and this is met with an inverse trend in traditional media. We cannot fight it. But what we can do is, ride on it wisely.

The Ironic Evolution of Money: The Smart Ass Saga

Then some smart ass computer scientist decided to make money virtual. You don't need to keep livestock nor agriculture produce - that's anticipated anyway. You don't need to keep gold or silver or any damn metal elements. You don't need to keep those papers we call notes either. This smart ass decided to transform the idea of money into electricity that can be transacted via computer circuits across network of circuits we call internet. Wallah.... behold the age of internet banking

There weren't many smart asses to begin with, initially. So it was simple and easy. Wealth was in the beginning measured in terms of livestock or agriculture produce. Basically you'd need to barter what you have to get what others have at a willing buyer and willing seller quantities of the different items. The issue with this is that, those items are perishable. Hence whatever value you put into them has a useful physical and economic useful lives of those item itself.

Then some smart ass miner discovered that value can be placed onto precious metal because of its scarcity. People began to equate what they have, whether livestock of agriculture produce, in terms of an agreed amount of such metal. Soon instead of exchanging items, they exchange those metal pieces with goods. Many types of metal were used but the most valuable, presumably because of its high ranking of scarcity, or because of its purity sustainability against nature's oxidisation, gold became the ultimate metal currency. Next was sterling silver and bronze. So, as greed radiated across mankind pervasively, everybody wanted to accumulate metal rather than the stuff that you actually need to eat and stay alive. Perhaps they thought that their tummies have evolved alongside their economic understanding where metal can be digested biologically?

Then some smart ass lawyer decided to equate all this fuss into black and white legal terms written on paper. Basically this document carries with it the legal tender to transact whatever purchase equivalent to a predetermined value of gold or any metal coins used by mandkind. The document would say something like this, "The bearer or this promissory note is entitled to whatever pounds of sterling silver claimable from the Bank of England" or some shit mumbo jumbo like that. This becamr the currency notes that we use daily. Funny that some cheap material like paper can now be valued higher than precious metals like gold and silver just because some banker with Royal Charter signs on it. Again, no matter how valueble these papers are, you still cannot eat them like you'd do with livestock and agriculture produce.

In short, we can still find some link from our e-bank account balance to the damn goat on the field.

Then some smart ass, big mama ass, shit head, decided to exclude the damn goat, the damn gold, the damn papers and the damn electronic representation of material wealth and replace it with the idea of mining some unique virtual universe blockchains of codes, or whatever hell it is called.... the bitcoin, I think. This is when we all started banging our heads on the wall. The idea of value has transcended our comprehension. Despite our conscious incomprehension (if there is such a word) of the damn saga, we place our utmost trust with the mama smart ass of all time and of all of humanity that our wealth is secured in this new age of demonic intangibility madinsanity economic evolutionised concept.

Meanwhile, some smart ass is quietly accumulating the livestocks or agriculture produce or the precious metals or any commodity for that matter; and at the same time, securing the sources, or the ability to procure, or the ability to produce, or the ability to control, or the ability to price those livestocks, agriculture produce or metals or any commodity. In the end we who evolve may lose everything and they who stayed purist gains. One day, a big mama ass magnetic field surge is gonna wrap the planet Earth as the yellow Sun releases its occasional bursts and in just split seconds, all those wealth we have accumulated in electronic form will be erased (unless we have proof written in legitimate ink on paper).

The Digital Dilemma: We Should Avoid the Repeat of the Kodak Moments

So as you can see, what Zuckerberg and Gates predicted will come true. What we see in Star Wars, Star Trek, Back to the Future, Terminator and the Matrix will happen. We are in the age of total chaos as every minute of denial will make us lost even more by the day - unless we ride the wave and hope to reach the beach in one piece

DIGITAL methods are now invading our lives, our businesses and our culture. During the modernisation of Europe where the imperial measurements were slowly being replaced by the metric system, many hailed it (digitalisation) to be demonic.

It (digitalisation) was said that it will affect our lives to the core of existence. Well, guess what? Digital system has now made its way into many aspects of our lives, which includes, but not limited to: Education, Medical, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Documentation, Communication, Entertainment; Religion and most dangerously, the Military.

Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates recently warned the World to be prepared for the age of robots and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The next disruption wave may be as soon as within 5 to 10 years. Imagine the implications of such revolution to digitally exposed operations.

For example, we have media companies that employ thousands of staff. With the significant, dynamic and inevitable technological advancement, those media companies can easily embark on a pervasive digital strategy and just overnight, those thousands of staff can lose their jobs. In the name of efficiency, that should happen; but with the humanitarian consideration (avoiding people loosing jobs), it may take a delay.

Meanwhile the leaner media companies may just go ahead. The inersia of thousands of staff is too strong for the ship to sail an alternative route. On the flip side, the inersia of a lean staffed structure is agile to adapt changes. In this age of internet of all things, we need to be agile, flexible and not waste any more time.

Hence the digital dilemma. Do we or do we not make sacrifices to embrace digitalisation of everything that we do? We have learned from the past that such changes are inevitable. We should avoid the repeat of the Kodak moment. Kodak invented digital photography. In fact the first photo of the planet Earth was taken by Kodak's digital technology. They, however, were too scared to lose their conventional film sales that contibuted almost 90% of their sales. At last, they went bankrupt as digital cameras swamped the World photography behaviour.

There are many other examples. We have Uber for instance. The traditional taxi drivers are facing a severe threat of obsolescence. Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon TV and iFlix are now major contenders to disrupt the TV and cinema kings across the globe. Online news portals are basically digging the graves of newpaper companies. E-commerce for retailing such as Amazon, Lazada, Zalora and many others are keeping the high streets slow. What more examples do we want?

We can see that the way to do business has gone through so many evolution phases that includes Production Specialisation during the European Industrial Revolution; Diversification of Skills of the post war Germany and Japan; Marketing Intensive Branding as led by the Americans of Madison Avenue; and finally, the Demonic Digitalisation we face today. The fact is, it is happening whether we like it or not.

What we have discussed so far sounds pretty global and we may think that it will take sometime before it will reach our shores (Malaysia). Wrong! It has reached. Long time ago - waiting to devour our conventional and traditional ways of doing things.

Perhaps, in an effort to convince ourselves, we ought to scan for some empirical evidence? Sure, why not? Let us see. Malaysia has 30 million population and the number of mobile devices is 60 million. Malaysia has, on average, 5 debit/credit cards per household that facilitates internet based commerce. Malaysia is ranked as one of the top countries in the World for social media usage. Malaysian Government has made a conscious effort to boost digitalisation via various initatives such as the Multimedia Super Corridor, High Speed Broad Band and most pervasively, computer science education as early as primary school.

So as you can see, what Zuckerberg and Gates predicted will come true. What we see in Star Wars, Star Trek, Back to the Future, Terminator and the Matrix will happen. The New Slavery, A Perspective on Bit'fuckin'coin

The question is, who are "They"? "They" are not our Government but they have significant influence over our Government, our products and services, our communication, our knowledge, our money, our behaviours, our mind, our life, our future, our freedom, our very purpose of existence. Yes my friends, we have been (if not about to be) colonised in the most modern and advance way possible. We are but slaves whether we realise it or not

THE NEW WORLD ORDER has many styles on how to control the World. They control the communication side. They control the political powers. They control military powers. They control the financial world as evident by the many financial meltdowns that we have seen. Bitcoin is the natural next stage for the financial element.

So far "They" have conquered many economies via IMF, the World Bank and many more economic hitman style organisations. Now "They" are on the ground looking at the actual consumers. If we study the economic formula of C+I+G+X-M-T (whoever studied Macroeconomics will understand), we will notice that globalisation has on many levels has its grip on how our socioeconomy works.

The biggest component of that equation is C, i.e. Consumption Expenditure, the sum of all individual's spending behaviour or pattern or strength. Once many (consumers) are hooked and majority daily consumption expenditure, or even wholesale trading transactions, are accepted in Bitcoins, money matters will no loger follow any country's Reserve Bank's rulings. This is because Bitcoin is not legally governed by any laws on this planet Earth, yet, or will never ever be?

Demand for conventional currencies will plunge one by one depending on the level of Bitcoin utility for each nation as and when transactions are done lesser and lesser on conventional currencies method. A concept of e-wallet being made really really big but with its own dedicated currency like how we would when playing the board game, Monopoly.

"They" will not hesitate to abandon current global currencies such as USD or GBP and use Bitcoin as the Super Currency. In this era of Internet of Things, behaviours can change over night. Look at Pokemon. Look at Social Media. Hence, "They" will control consumers directly. "They" can make a nation's consumer base paralyse just by declaring an economic sanction (Whether via UN or not) and block all Bitcoin accounts for a particular nation.

So the more acceptable a nation is on this whole Bitcoin phenomenon, the more susceptible the nation is to the threat of this new breed of the Economic Hitman. So when the nation is trapped, wallah.... instant bankrupcy for an entire nation can be curated not from a Government monetary perspective but from basic broadbase consumer purchasing power perspective.

This Bitcoin is indeed a more pervasive species of economic hitman I suppose. A damn efficient one I must say (If they succeed in spreading their wings). The more I observe the evolution of our socioeconomy building blocks vis a vis its technological advancement, the more I feel that our World is changing into one of those Sci-Fi movies we all like to watch. The Matrix is a good example especially when we can combine sociology with, say, Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (ER). If you have the time, go binge watch a TV series called West World, and you will understand.

The question is, who are "They"? The Green Peacock, the Original Malayan Peacock

REEN peafowl (the male referred to as Peacock) is a large galliform bird that is found in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia mainly Burma, Thailand, Malaya and Indonesia. It is also known as the Java peafowl, but this term is properly used to describe the nominate subspecies endemic to the island of Java. It is the closest relative of the Indian peafowl or blue peafowl (Pavo cristatus), which is mostly found on the Indian subcontinent. So those blue peacocks that you see in Malaysia are not local and were imported from India in the past century or so. The green ones are endangered. Just thought that fellow Malaysian should know this because Malaysians are more interested about Pandas (or politicians) rather than anything else right now :)

Of course such consequential disaster (i.e. the impact) is possible because man. Technology uncovered by man works against nature when man is absent in managing it (technology). You'd have to watch the entire series in order to get the full understanding of how the entire Earth would crumble but as a sneak preview, here are some salient points taken from each of the 10 episodes - for you to ponder:

• After 10,000 years, all man made structures will be broken to pieces.

• Man tamed animals will get rabies, a deadly viral infection that is mainly spread by infected animals. Many species will fall into extinction.

• There is a great rubbish patch in the Pacific Ocean that is made up of 3.5 million tonnes of plastic pieces broken into small particles. These nasty pieces of rubbish, when no managed by man, will kill many marine creatures.

• 24 carat gold bars kept at the Reserve Bank totalling USD200 billion will remain uncorroded and safe underwater as flood hits Washington.

• Waste water treatment plant that requires man to operate it will now cause many man made lakes to dry as it ceases to be operated by man for water replenishment. With the increased volume of soil, dust and sand, huge sand storm will occur destroying many cities.

• An infamous piece of art by Leonardo Da Vinci, the Mona Lisa, will be left unprotected by man. After 100 years, the wood on which Mona was painted will be completely be destroyed by wood beatles.

• Desert cities like Las Vegas will be destroyed by cryptobiotic micro organism. After 1000 years, the entire city will be broken into particle of dusts.

• In 1968, K129, a Soviet submarine, sank in the Pacific Ocean. K129 carries warheads of plutonium and hydrogen explosives. Once the metal casing rusts and the explosive elements make contact with water, a huge explosion will take place destroying many marine animals. 

• With no one to operate the oil refineries, refinery reactors that controls the supply of 20 million barrels of oil per day (in America) will heat up and explode into continuous explosions from one tank of oil to another causing a big fire destroying vegetation and animals.

• After 50 years, the 3,000 satellites orbiting the Earth at an average altitude of 100 over miles above the ground will lose control of its movement (without man's intervention) and will crash into each other causing it to become flames of fire falling onto the Earth.
